Margaret Best was born in New York, graduated high school in Germany and college in Louisiana. She married in Illinois and moved back to Louisiana. She has two sons born in Texas and one daughter born in New Mexico and eight grandchildren. She lived in several countries, states and territories-Germany, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Japan, Guam, and the United States. She retired from teaching elementary school in Florida before pursuing a career as an author. Her books are available on Amazon and at Barns $ Noble. She has two memoirs: Unsung Hero, and Dandelion Child: A Soldier’s Daughter. Her newest book, a memoir/travel titled Guam: Where America’s Day Begins will be available in 2021.
