In the KNOW!

Diann Schindler served over 25 years in higher education, first as an instructor of writing and ultimately college president. When she retired, she dabbled in tennis, music, and writing. Yet, her dream was to travel and write books. In 2015, her fantasy was realized. She sold her house, her car, and all her possessions, save her tennis racket and Taylor guitar, and began her odyssey in Portugal. Four years later, Diann had explored 46 countries. With the world as her muse, this solo nomad wrote her first novel, “Just A Girl,” ranked “sixth best coming-of-age fiction in 2107” by Amazon. Her friends, in American and abroad, urged her to write her nonfiction book, “The Essential Guide to a Life of Travel: the ABC’s International Travel.”  Her third book “Claim Denied”, an electrifying international cyber-espionage thriller, emerged from her experiences as a writing consultant at the American University in Kosovo. The sequel, “What Lies Beneath the Willow,” a mystery thriller, is set on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. (All of her books are available on Amazon, worldwide.) She is a lifelong learner and as a result of studying the craft of writing for years, Diann has taken on an editor role, from copy editing to developmental editing, creating a new website (see below) and her “Craft of Writing” YouTube Channel. Diann's podcasts are fun, informative, and lively, focusing on her travels, writing tips, personal experiences, challenges, and reflections. She lives in Lisbon, Portugal. You can reach her through her the variety of contact information listed below. She would love to hear from you! Thank you for listening. “Wives Who Kill” - Sophie and Hannah: Two women with different backgrounds, different circumstances, and different mindsets. Yet, both are wanted for murder. What made them do it? Court-appointed forensic psychologist Dr. Rosie Klein untangles the web of circumstances surrounding each violent crime . . . and much more!
At the recommendation of the judges and attorneys who appoint her to the cases, Dr. Klein first evaluates Sophie's case, then Hannah's state of mind at the time the women committed their separate crimes. Her search for mitigating factors, and her recommendations, will assist the Court during the sentencing phase of each woman's trial. Or should their charges of murder be commuted . . .based on what Dr. Rosie finds?
You be the judge after you read the reasons behind Wives Who Kill.
